Primarily private residences for families who will live in the home long-term. Occasionally select commercial work — typically headquarters or offices for clients whose private homes we have also designed. We don't take on small renovations, retail, or quick-turnaround projects.
Most of our residential commissions take 12 to 30 months. The longest project we've completed was just over three years. We don't compress timelines — the quality of the work is a direct function of the time we spend.
Most of our clients come to us through referral. If you're considering a commission, please reach out by email or phone. We typically meet once before accepting a project, to understand the home, the family, and whether we're the right studio for the work. We accept roughly four new commissions a year.
It is not a sales meeting. We spend an hour or two discussing the project — what you want the home to feel like, how your family lives, what you've seen that moved you and what you'd like to avoid. There is no cost for this meeting, but we only schedule it with clients whose projects are a genuine fit for the studio's direction.
